I am loathe to rely on a Washington Post reporters characterization of any remarks not surrounded by quotes and free of ellipses. However, I will allow the apology part must be based on some expression of indignation from Sen McCain and remark that I wish the Republican party would stop with all the whining and pearl clutching already. It’s just irritating.
