Childhood Diabetes Today

In the picture above, you can see Dan on the first day of school, standing next to his dad, posing for a picture with his trusty diabetes kit hanging from his shoulder. He goes everywhere with it. Some of you know how this works, many of you don’t. Back in April this year, Dan wasContinue reading “Childhood Diabetes Today”

Cheetos

Storytime. Once upon a time a little boy by the name of Stan (names have been changed to protect the guilty) got in trouble at school. He felt badly about it. But Stan had a plan. Stan was a man with a plan. Stan asked his naive parents if he could walk to school onContinue reading “Cheetos”

Sledding

When I was in the 4th grade, we lived in a red and white split level house in Centerville, Utah. We had the best yard for sledding. Ever. The winter of 1987-88 brought some amazing snowstorms! My Aunt Marylou gave me some photos from that winter. We lived in that house for only a fewContinue reading “Sledding”

Josie

About ten miles from the rock quarry where dinosaur bones hover over tourists, buried in layers of history, Josie Bassett Morris built a homestead. And we go to another park.  Where the temperature is literally 20 degrees warmer.  Weird.  Utah is weird.

A Six-Year Old Discusses Making Babies and the Importance of Nutrition

I made a teensie weensie mistake. I have been doing theatre and improv for a very long time. You guys know this. So what’s the first rule of improv? Say yes!! As we were driving over to Grandma’s house, Antonio was trying to talk to Daniel about Lord of The Rings.  Daniel said, “That isContinue reading “A Six-Year Old Discusses Making Babies and the Importance of Nutrition”
